KARRASKAN is a professional association for the promotion of cultural innovation and innovation culture in the Basque Country. An association committed to:

1 The transformation of our cultural landscape.

2 Using culture to affect other fields of human activity (social, educational, scientific, economic or political).

3 Influencing the cultural field from these other fields (in a mutual feedback and enrichment loop).

In short, to change art and culture to change the world, a world that also changes art and culture.

Hariak

Karraskan_Hariak is a project that seeks to identify, represent and give visibility to Karraskan’s partner organisations and the projects and activities they conduct in different artistic, creative, cultural and knowledge spheres that vindicate the value of culture and creation as means of social transformation that permeate and contaminate other economic and social activities, favouring innovation. K_rr_sk_n_Hariak proposes new ways to relate, creating spaces for shared knowledge and learning, interaction, and collaboration/cooperation between agents and creators, to provide visibility and expansion for Karraskan’s partner organisations and other agents and authors in the Basque cultural and creative ecosystem and other territories.

K_RR_SK_N Hariak aims to help achieve these objectives via new scenarios that:

# Contribute to greater social and cultural digitalisation. # Promote new hybrid cultural models, typologies and formats, new models of cooperation and sectoral/intersectoral relations. # Encourage innovation by discovering new emerging futures. # Disseminate practices and knowledge in the sector and society. # Enable experimentation to encourage the generation of prototypes.

K_rr_sk_n_Hariak is organised into different workspaces: Lab, Hub, Media, Lan and Eskola to promote the work of partner organisations and collaboration with other agents in the physical and digital workspaces to be established throughout 2022.

Lab

K_RR_SK_N LAB promotes experimentation and encourages innovative processes for the production of cultural, artistic and social projects and content, digital and hybrid, of a cultural, artistic and social nature. Combine the capabilities of Karraskan's organisations and those gained from contacts with cultural and social actors and audiences.

Hub

K_RR_SK_N HUB proposes optimising the connection and cooperation between Karraskan's partner organisations and enabling processes that favour interaction with other agents, groups, people and entities from different cultural, social and economic sectors to exchange ideas, propose dialogue and debate, share experiences and develop collaborative projects.

Media

K_RR_SK_N MEDIA is a space for communicative reference and knowledge in which the contents and materials generated during Karraskan's activities and those of its partner organisations are organised and made available to the public, also including other references, materials and external content of interest.

Lan

K_RR_SK_N LAN is an initiative aimed at the creation of collaborative networks and spaces of opportunity that publishes relevant information on the supply and demand of employment in the cultural sector and on the new emerging labour niches that generate new opportunities.
